Common questions

Do I need an account?

No. You can shoot with Auto, Pro and the Eff Originals presets without one. An account lets you save presets to the cloud, share to Discover and write reviews. Sign in with Apple, Google, a passkey or an email link.

How many presets can I sync?

You can save up to 5 presets you create to your account. They sync to every phone you sign in on, iPhone or Android.

How do I share a preset?

Open the preset and tap Share to send a link or show a QR code. The link opens the preset in Eff Mirrors on iPhone and Android.

Does Auto mode upload my photos?

No. Scene detection runs entirely on your phone, and your photos are saved to your own photo library. A photo only leaves your phone if you publish it as a sample in Discover.

Why can't I pick a sample photo from my library?

Samples in Discover must be shot in Eff Mirrors with the preset they show. The app verifies each one, so only photos you took with that preset can be used.

Why can't I review a preset?

Only people who got a preset and shot with it can review it. Take a photo or video with the preset first, then the review option appears.

Which phones are supported?

iPhones with iOS 26 or later and Android phones with Android 12 or later. RAW, Log and some video formats depend on what your phone's camera supports.
